​I'm Monika Joanna Sawicka, the mixed media artist behind the creations you'll find here. My journey into the world of digital art began with a fascination for the endless possibilities of merging images, textures, and layers to craft something truly unique.

I blend analog and digital tools, starting with photos, illustrations, and paintings. Using a digital process, I intuitively merge and manipulate these elements, allowing the composition to evolve organically until it resonates with me.

Each piece of artwork you see in Dreaming Bowl starts with a collection of images. I love to play with them, moving, cutting, scaling, and blending until a composition catches my eye. It's an organic process where structure meets spontaneity, and the outcome is always a delightful surprise. The textures and layers I incorporate add depth and intrigue, inviting you to explore and find your own meaning in my work.

My journey is deeply influenced by my background in psychology. Particularly, I'm fascinated by Jungian psychology, humanistic/transpersonal psychology, philosophy and mythology guiding my exploration of the subconscious and human experience. My interest in various spiritual paths also enriches my perspective, providing a deeper and wider view of human spirituality.

The role of the subconscious and unconscious is central to my creative process. I believe that the best art comes from a place of intuition and subconscious exploration, where hidden thoughts and emotions surface. My goal is to create art that serves as a portal, allowing you to pause from the outer speedy time, look inside yourself, and discover something unique, hidden, and authentically your own.
